Bring the Worland Parade of Lights back to the Friday after Thanksgiving!

For years the parade of lights has marked the opening of the Christmas shopping season. It has always been on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Drawing families, many with relatives visiting from out of town, downtown Worland to shop, visit, catch up and enjoy the parade. In turn encouraging support of Small Business Saturday by keeping people in town rather than leaving for Black Friday madness elsewhere. Now the parade is jam packed on Dec. 2nd along with many other great things that, unfortunately, divides people’s time and makes for a really long day. Not to mention the loss of out of town/county money that could be potentially spent by visiting relatives.
