Cloverbar Road Subdivision Traffic Light length

If you reside in one of the subdivisions along Cloverbar Road in Sherwood Park, you are aware of the length of time it takes to get a light change to turn left. This petition is to propose Strathcona County have these lights in operation during peak periods only. Eg:7am-10am and 4pm-7pm. If you are a resident you already know outside of those times the ability to safely turn left is available for more frequently than the light change. In fact many people simply run the red and turn left anyways as the light cycle is so long and you often sit there waiting with virtually no traffic impeding your turn. The county has recently made an attempt at an idling bylaw in order to reduce our carbon footprint. Yet the unnecessary idle time at these lights each day far exceeds the idle time warming up our cars for a few minutes in the winter. These lights are unnecessary during regular traffic flow. Lets tell the county what we want.
