The LVMS Class of 2021 has missed many milestone events over the course of the last year, and now they are at risk of missing out on a promotion ceremony.   We understand that last year's alternative was done when things were so unknown, but being a full year later we are hopeful something more substantial can be planned for our students.  We implore the school to begin taking action now to ensure these students are able to mark the end of their time with WT schools in a meaningful manner.  One of the greatest parts of living in Long Valley is the open space we have access to, with farms and parks being available.  We know we are confined to the COVID-19 restrictions, which is currently at 200 people for an outdoor gathering, but an event done in shifts should be feasible.  The high school was able to hold an outdoor event last summer for their graduates, and we see no reason that something memorable cannot be done for our students this year. There is still time to plan a nice, safe, outdoor event for the 8th graders, but it will take planning. You have plenty of parental support to help make a meaningful and memorable event for our kids!
