This is extremely important because I know the negative side effects of psychiatrist drugs, specifically anti-psychotics. They include permanent tardive dyskinesia, which is involuntary muscle movements. They can also cause death, plain and simple. Lastly, and to me the most horrifying, some have cause permanent numbing. I know from personal experience numbing is the most horrifying torturous feeling I could ever imagine. To me it's worse than death, you feel absolutely nothing, as if you are a walking corpse. I have been feeling like this for nearly a year, due to what my doctor calls "negative symptoms." But she doesn't know if it is because of negative symptoms or because I have been permanently numbed by the antipsychotics. The only way to find out is to go off meds all together and see how I feel. If that were to happen I don't know what I would do, I assume death would be the only option. I am hoping that this is in fact negative symptoms that need to be treated which is why I continue to try new meds, because if I stop medication all together I would end up in the mental hospital again. If I stay on meds, I have to suffer and can face these possible horrific side effects, not to mention the fact that all of these meds may make you feel numb, and then what? I wish there was another option, I need help, we need help, we're suffering, please someone do something about this. I have some ideas, but we need to take action. I'm now switching to mood stabilizers, so I'll know for sure if I am permanently numb, and if I have schizophrenia (which I'm almost positive I do.) I just started the mood stabilizer and we are slowly coming off the anti-psychotics, I feel even more numb now then I did before.

This is important to me because I am a psychiatric survivor and forced drugging and institutionalization did more harm than good for me. I only truly recovered when I found support from others with similar lived experience as I and discovered alternatives than just medication and hospitalization.

I know what it's like to be pumped with happy pills that instead cause suicidal thoughts. I know what it's like to be viewed as "crazy." There are other ways to treat psychiatric disorders

For people who have severe mental illness, medication is often the only way to provide relief of their disabling symptoms, but it should always be accompanied by therapy that is aimed toward helping achieve or restore quality of life and self-respect.

I lost 15 years of my life being dianosed with a doctors bullcrap diagnosis- now I am med free and doing better than ever. These medicines are a bunch of poisons, how about eating a healthy diet and good sleep hygene, nopr too easy and no money to be made off of that, so lets make up a disorder and over medicate the shit out of normal people just to make some more $$- yea rite- the jig is up!
