Jeep's long-standing tradition of producing capable trucks stopped when AMC sold Jeep to Chrysler. (the last jeep Commanche being produced in 1992) While the 4 door gladiator is a love letter to all those who wanted a Jeep Pickup many enthusiasts want a cheaper 2 door variant of the current Gladiator model. 

Jeep has produced the J6 model concept which is a 2 door variant of the Gladiator shown in the photo above. Not only would a 2 door model be more affordable but more capable in offroading and would allow for 6-8ft bed options which could introduce the Gladiator to the world of commercial utility.

Jeep is one of the few auto brands in America that has a deep-rooted history of 2-doors and one of the largest most dedicated fan bases out there. One can see that older jeeps hold a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts based on the simple fact that Jeeps do not fall subject to standard depreciation rates. People love old Jeeps, the concept of 4 doors (introduced in 2007) moved the jeep further down the spectrum from offroad machine to your average SUV status. While that's great and introduces a more practical variant for people who want to bring their kids to school the tradition of 2-door clearance and capability cannot be phased out.

I'm writing this petition not out of anger or frustration, but because I love jeep and everything it's ever stood for and I want to be part of the change that preserved the tradition of 2 door models.
