The IIT JEE Mains and Advanced exams are the most excruciating admission tests for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate courses from the country’s leading engineering institutes.

Months and months, sometimes years of laboriously studying, staying up all night, attending marathon revision classes, swearing off social media, taking tests one after another and losing themselves in their books is what sounds typical for these aspirants.

Then comes the exam day. These candidates have a rugged meaning of this day. After a long sleepless night, they arrive with racing hearts at their exam centres, each having their own stories to tell of their inspirations and aspirations for this exam.

Try to imagine what these souls go through when they are met with the disastrously arranged exam with multiple technical glitches- their screens expanded by 300% making it difficult to view questions, desktops shutting down in the middle of the test, wasting their precious time. Having given no extra time to compensate, students were left feeling defeated, unable to give their best.

But their misery doesn’t end here. When these examinees are provided with their response sheets, which are, records of their answers in the Computer Based Test,  they are met with yet another catastrophe. The response sheets they downloaded do not match with the ones they download at a later date from the date of their upload. Several questions are now shown unanswered in the same candidate’s answer sheet. When these students voice their grievances, requesting the exam conducting authority to review the situation, they are not answered. 

Now, it was finally time. The career defining, future sculpting, all encompassing day for all these candidates, the result day. Candidates sat  in front of their computer screens ready to pounce the moment the clock hits 10 am and the result shows on the online portal. Their parents, equally nervous tell them to take deep breaths when they themselves can’t manage to do so. All this anticipation, excitement eventually ends with tears of disbelief. Because on the screen they do not see the scores they rightfully deserve and were expecting according to the copies of their answers provided by jee advance portal. The score they see here is far lower and has a huge discrepancy from their raw score leaving the students feeling betrayed, all their hard work gone in vain.

पुनः 5 सितंबर को प्रतिक्रिया पत्रक में 106 प्राप्तांक दिया गया एवम उत्तर पत्रक भी बदला हुआ था।

11 सितंबर को घोषित परिणाम में उसका प्राप्तांक 56 है जबकि प्रतिक्रिया पत्रक में 71 दर्शा रहा है।

अलग अलग बार अलग अलग प्राप्तांक दिखाना क्या संकेत करता है?
सहज अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है कि तमाम योग्यता, क्षमता, श्रेष्ठता प्रदर्शित करने के बावजूद यदि इतने बड़े संस्था के व्यवस्था का शिकार हो जाय तो उस विद्यार्थी, उसके माता पिता, परिजन पर क्या बितती होगी?

पिछले और उससे पीछे कई साल से आरोप लग रहे हैं, कुछ धरपकड़ भी हुई । गत बर्ष भी सेंधमारी से रिजल्ट में हेराफेरी का मामला संज्ञान में आया था। मीडिया में हो हल्ला के बाद कुछ दिन जांच चली फिर सब ढाक के तीन पात हो गया।
कोई भी गड़बड़ी बिना भेदिया के सम्भव नही होता है।
*अतः NTA सबसे पहले अपने मुख्यालय से स्वचता अभियान शुरू करे। छात्रों के मन मे भरोसा पैदा करे। अपनी विश्वसनीयता और प्रमाणिकता प्रतिस्थापित करे। छात्रों के साथ अन्यायपूर्ण कृत्य बन्द करें।
