Air France operated the Paris-CDG route to Leipzig, Germany from 2006 to 2012 twice a day with an Embraer 145. In the course of the imposed savings program, the airline cancelled the route, despite good capacity utilization and growth rates.

Paris Charles de Gaulle is one of the major airport hubs for business travelers and tourists in Europe. For the residents of Leipzig and the surrounding area, only the cumbersome way to travel via the completely overstrained Berlin Tegel airport remains. Endless construction sites on the A9 highway or arrival by train via Berlin Central Station and TXL Bus make this option absolutely unattractive.

With Joon, Air France has a competitive airline that could certainly reactivate that route again.

Leipzig is the metropolitan region of Saxony. The population has been growing steadily for years due to returnees, vocational and labor migrants and also increasing numbers of visitors through tourism make the city attractive again for a direct connection to Paris. The Leipzig Halle airport is well connected by the S-Bahn and regional trains to the city and the surrounding area and can certainly use a revitalization of passenger traffic.

With this petition I would like to draw the attention of the management of Air France and Joon and the people of Leipzig to the possible resumption of the Paris - Leipzig connection. For the development of the city, a good connection to the hubs of Europe, can only be beneficial.

Air France a exploité la liaison Paris-CDG vers Leipzig (Allemagne) de 2006 à 2012 deux fois par jour avec un Embraer 145. Dans le cadre du programme d’économies imposées, la compagnie aérienne a annulé la liaison, malgré un bon taux de remplissage sur cette ligne et des bons taux de croissance.
Paris Charles de Gaulle est l'un des principaux centres aéroportuaires pour les voyageurs d'affaires et les touristes en Europe. Pour les habitants de Leipzig et de ses environs, la seule solution est de se rendre à Berlin ( aéroport Berlin-Tegel ) en sachant que cet aéroport est déjà très chargé.
De plus, le nombre de chantiers sur l’autoroute A9 qui mène à Berlin ou l’utilisation du train et du bus TXL pour relier l'aéroport de Berlin rendent ce trajet très désagréable.
Avec Joon, Air France dispose d’une compagnie aérienne compétitive qui pourrait sans aucun doute, assurer cette liaison.
Leipzig est la région métropolitaine de Saxe. La population est en constante augmentation depuis quelques années en raison de son développement économique. De plus, le nombre croissant de visiteurs liés au tourisme rend la ville attrayante ce qui pourrait justifier une connexion directe avec Paris. L'aéroport de Leipzig Halle est bien relié par la S-Bahn et les trains régionaux à la ville et ses environs et peut certainement dynamiser le trafic passagers.
Par cette pétition, je voudrais attirer l’attention de la direction d’Air France et de Joon ainsi que de la population de Leipzig sur la reprise possible de la liaison Paris - Leipzig. Pour le développement de la ville, une bonne connexion avec les hubs de l'Europe ne peut qu'être bénéfique.

Air France bediente die Route Paris-CDG nach Leipzig, Deutschland von 2006 bis 2012 zweimal täglich mit einem Embraer 145. Im Zuge des auferlegten Sparprogramms nahm die Airline die Verbindung aus dem Flugplan, trotz guter Auslastung und Zuwachszahlen.

Paris Charles de Gaulles ist einer der wichtigsten Flughafen Drehkreuze für Geschäftsreisende wie Touristen in Europa. Für die Bewohner von Leipzig und Umgebung bleibt nur der umständliche Weg über den völlig überforderten Flughafen Berlin-Tegel zu reisen. Endlose Baustellen auf der Autobahn A9 oder die Anreise per Bahn über den Berliner Hauptbahnhof und TXL Bus machen diese Option absolut unattraktiv.

Mit Joon hat Air France eine wettbewerbsfähige Fluglinie, die diese Route sicherlich wieder bedienen könnte.

Leipzig ist die Metropolregion Sachsens. Die Bevölkerung wächst seit Jahren stetig durch Rückkehrer, Ausbildungs- und Berufszuwanderer und auch steigende Besucherzahlen durch Tourismus machen die Stadt für eine Direktanbindung nach Paris wieder attraktiv. Der Flughafen Leipzig Halle ist gut durch die S-Bahn und Regionalbahn an Stadt und Umgebung angebunden und kann eine Erweckung aus dem Dornröschen-Schlaf, zumindest was den Personenverkehr betrifft, sicher gut gebrauchen.

Mit dieser Petition möchte ich die Aufmerksamkeit der Konzernleitung von Air France und Joon sowie der Leipziger Bevölkerung auf die mögliche Wiederaufnahme der Flugverbindung Paris - Leipzig lenken. Für die Entwicklung der Stadt kann eine gute Anbindung an die Drehkreuze Europas, gerade was die Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen angeht, nur von Vorteil sein.
