Don't let the County Planning Commitee take away Portlands uniqueness.

Visitors and islanders all agree that the unique and quirky nature of Portland is its biggest appeal. Sadly changes are being made that could undermine our greatest asset. This petition is requesting that Jean Marshall, Head of Planning (West Dorset-Weymouth) re-assess the recent rebuild of hut 45 on the Red Crane field on Portland Bill. This build appears to have been fast tracked and not only was permission approved by Weymouth in spite of Portland Town Council objection, the build has exceeded its dimensions on all counts and has been painted bright blue!

**UPDATE** 19/5/17 HUT REPAINTED DARK BROWN. AN IMPROVEMENT BUT A LONG WAY TO GO TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT.

Given that a request to enlarge a tiny hut just metres away from hut 45 recently was denied makes the whole episode decidedly stinky.

So I ask that all of you who love our little isle for its special and endearing landscape to sign this petition.

We are not Mudeford or Highcliffe and have no desire to be.

Thank you.
