VETO the Washington State Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Bill

VETO the Washington State Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Bill
Why this petition matters
The Washington State Senate and then the House of Representatives both passed the state-mandated Comprehensive Sexual Health Education bill. It will now go back to the Senate for concurrence and then on to Gov. Jay Inslee.
This bill - SB 5395 - requires all public school-aged children, grades K-12, to be exposed to mature language, detailed, adult role-play situations, and graphic images that the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has approved and deemed suitable for children as young as five. This is not their responsibility and this bill is clearly overstepping their rights and bounds.
Teaching children about sexual health is the responsibility of PARENTS, when and how they feel it is appropriate. It is NOT the government’s or teacher’s job or right to do this. Thousands of parents, grandparents, and concerned citizens voiced opposition to this bill and yet Senate and House Democrats blatantly disregarded their voices, as this was passed.
Please join and raise your voice again in opposition to this bill and help us be the voice for our children.
