Koli Bolden started this petition to Governor Jay Inslee

I’m starting this petition to remove the confederate flag in the city of battleground, Washington. Why? Do I really need to ask that question? We all know what the confederate flag stands for! It stands for dehumanization, slavery, racism and stripping Black and Brown people of our voices and human rights which can be done Violently under the rules of the Confederacy. We as people in the state of Washington who are black and brown deserve to have our lives free and not enslaved. The confederate flag represents nothing but hatred, racism, greed, violence and bigotry. It is a tie to white supremacy. It is the foundation of white supremacy. It is the culprit of white supremacy. Many great men such as Dr. Martin Luther King and John Brown have fought for the freedoms of Black and Brown people in this country and having the Confederate Flag hang in Battleground, Washington is nothing but a reminder that we are still living in a Society that’s acceptable to White Supremacy and is willing to uphold the tradition of slavery. Governor Inslee, if you do not want to be looked at or viewed as a White Supremacist or a Slavemaster, well, I would encourage you to REMOVE THE RACIST CONFEDERATE FLAG FROM THE BATTLEGROUND, WASHINGTON!
