I am deeply moved and inspired by Sikhi and recite what I can remember of Japji Sahib each day. While I am not yet Amritdhari Sikh, it would strengthen my resolve to stay on this path and one day receive Amrit if I knew that women would be amongst the panj pyare if and when I am blessed with this.

Guru Sahiban gave respect to women so they should have the right to administer Amrit as well as the men.

As Sikhs, we are supposed to be leaders in upholding equality for all. Whether Waheguru made someone a male or a female, it does not matter. Sikhism is about the journey of the soul. There is not meant to be any difference in what a male or female can do. We need to go back to our core teachings, and embrace and live our beautiful spirituality as it was mean to be practiced - embracing love and Oneness.
