Touchwood Lake in the Lakeland Recreation Area is a historical lake trout fishery however due to over fishing the trout population is now extinct, with the last known catch recorded in the 1990's.  

At 150 feet in depth it is by far the deepest lake in the region with crystal clear water, a beautiful natural park and 100 stall campground.  The lake and park are well attended.

Please support by signing the petition for the Government of Alberta to restock Touchwood's Lake Trout population in a multi year approach similar to the attempt made on walleye in Lac La Biche Lake.  

Bringing Lake Trout back to the Lakeland is bringing the lake to its historical natutal position and I feel we have a duty to return it to its natural state for people to enjoy.
