Change gender-based dress code requirements for Graduation at Tupelo High School.

Per a letter dated April 7, 2017 to the parents of Tupelo High School graduating Seniors by Principal Jason Harris, female students are required to wear a dress or skirt to Graduation. Males are required to wear a jacket, tie, and slacks. This violates the students' Constitutional right to privacy, liberty, and First Amendment protections. While a blanket rule for "dress clothes" is acceptable, public schools cannot have gender-based dress code requirements for graduation. Females cannot be required to wear dresses under graduation gowns. Parents, alumni, and the community are firmly asking Tupelo High School to amend its dress code policies due to the Unconstitutionality thereof.
