Wendolyne Omaña started this petition to 1060 E. Second Avenue Room #106 Durango CO 81301 Jeffrey R. Wilson

Please let Enrique Arturo Orozco Perez to stay in Durango, Colorado.

Enrique a resident of the La Plata County, a son of immigrants from Colombia and a citizen of the United States. For the last three years, he has been collaborating with various local non-profit organizations in advocacy for human rights.

On May 5th, 2019, Enrique was detained by local authorities with federal charges, and is being held without bond. He was arrested on an alleged violation of probation, which was dated early last year. He was given no clear explanation of this charge and is being told that he probably will be extradited to Georgia, where his probation originated.

After volunteering with the local Rapid Response Network that serves the Immigrant community and creating a collaborative effort of awareness in regards the inhumane Immigration & Customs Enforcement officers' activities in Durango, Enrique started receiving intimidating calls on regards his efforts.

Enrique is willing to pay the charges and to pay extra attention to his service if you give him a vote of trust and request that he may make his payments and restitution from here in Colorado rather than be sent back to Georgia. Given the costs of living in Durango, Enrique will lose his apartment, his three jobs, and even his dog if he is absent for a significant period of time, but most importantly, the immigrant community is running in bigger fear after Enrique's detention.

With this petition we are not asking you only for one person, we are asking you for all of those that similar to Enrique serve unceasingly in Durango, CO, and are amazed by knowing that right after the calls of intimidation that he received for exercising his freedom of speech a detention occurred and a possible extradition will happen tomorrow morning if we do not receive your support.

In solidarity,
