I believe that the Syrian people should be able to have a free and democratic government of their own choosing.

The current conditions in Syria meet the criterion for a Temporary Protected Status designation under INA Section 244 and 8 CFR Part 244. This country should treat Syrians currently in the US as it has treated nationals of Angola, Montserrat, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Nicaragua, Burundi, Kosovo , El Salvador, Rwanda, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Somalia, Honduras, Liberia, South Sudan, & Sudan.

When I talked to my 10 year old sister about this situation her response was, "If we're a free country and we're trying to help people then why aren't they free to stay here?" Can you please answer that for me so that I can explain to my little sister why these innocent people that were fortunate enough to escape the dangerous war-zone in Syria might be forced to go back and possibly lose their lives over some stupid legality bullshit? Excuse my language but this just seems like common sense to me.

Give Syrians temporary asylum. One day Americans in Syria may have to request the same in return.
