Sage Fey started this petition to Jane Mersey - Principle of Trafalgar Highschool and

Trafalgar Highschool has had a problem with the uniform policy being out of date for many years (exactly 3 at the time of this petition being made). Not only does it not reflect what Trafalgar High School stands for, which is a strong sense of identity and individuality, but it also limits and suppresses the students' right to self-expression. As someone who is affected by this policy by limiting my self-expression and my right to be who I am, it would mean a lot if you signed the petition. By reviewing the policy, conversing with students who are affected by the policy, as well as changing it for the better - Trafalgar High School can remain a well-rounded, good-natured school for all students, regardless of their presentation or expression.

What needs to be reviewed and/or added/changed?
- Makeup, Hair and Jewellery policies to not be as vague, as well as to allow for more expression amongst peers - for example - allowing facial piercings and unnaturally coloured cosmetics.
- Wording to be objective, not subjective.
- Make promises to not discriminate against a student or be biased on the basis of their appearance and/or self-expression through jewellery, hair and makeup.

Consider signing this petition to bring it to school officials to have a conversation regarding the school uniform policy.
