Hello my name is Jose Sanchez I'm the founder of Los Contrincantes Car Club and Bike Crew of Jamestown NY. Since 2019 we have been supporting our community with Annual back to school giveaways, Christmas Giveaways, parades and supporting families of this community in good times and in bad times. This year we have decided to have a car show that consists of a loud speaker competition for adults and kids in Jamestown since we are based out of Jamestown NY. I could of had it anywhere else outside of Jamestown but we need some entertainment and something different in Jamestown. I was born in Jamestown and lived here practically all my life. I have been to car shows here so what I'm trying to say the I support local car clubs. I attended the Jamestown cruise in downtown for example where hundreds of people where in attendance they were doing burnouts in front of cops, kids and hundred of people if one of those cars where to loose control they would have cause a death or someone would of badly gotten injured. So what I'm trying to say is that if the Jamestown City Council approves of this in downtown Jamestown why are they giving me a headache with me trying to do a loud speaker competition in a closed park where all vehicles will be parked.  But let's be real they ain't worried about no loud speaker competition they are just making assumptions based on skin color. Please help me sign this petition so that we can bring something great for the city of Jamestown, more business to local businesses and more people from different states into our city. It's time to have fun we have been locked up during this pandemic and now they still dont allow us to have fun. They host fireworks every year up there. We are scheduled to have the car show on September 18th on a Saturday music will only be playing from 2:30pm till 5:30pm I have handed the committee a set of rules that will also be handed out to everyone who attends and if they dont follow them they will asked to leave. I'm trying to do everything the right way and they are making us look bad when all we do is good for the community. The event is a go but they are complaining about the loud music. I've been working with them given them what they want. They need to understand that we need to work together.
