4 - Way STOP light at intersection of Rte. 259 & Curtis Rd in Parma, NY

The intersection of Rte 259 and Curtis Rd. is currently a 2-way stop (east/west bounds have the stop signs). This intersection is host to a number of vehicular accidents every year. Two evenings ago one finally proved fatal. I live about a football field away from this intersection and see/hear them all of the time. Speed and visibility are definitely contributing factors. On Rte 259 heading South, there is a decent size hill right before the Curtis Rd intersect. The speed limit is 45 mph, but many far exceed that. On Curtis Rd heading east/west, there are stop signs at the intersection. As I live so close, I see and hear cars fly by at alarming speeds. Summertime is worse as many crotch rocket type motorcycles go well above 50 mph, and many blow right through the intersection without even stopping. This intersection has been a danger for decades and many have requested stop lights but have been told there is no need. We as a community beg to differ. We need to come together to bring this to fruition and hopefully spare anymore loss of life. A 4 - Way stop light, not just signs, is warranted and long over due.
