Turn 8314 Casualwood Way (property) into Zelma Field's new Neighborhood Park!

You may have noticed that the property at 8314 Casualwood Way is back up for sale. The property has been looked at for various developments, single home residence and multi-family residence (townhouses/condos). I am sure that you all have noticed how busy our tiny streets already are. Once we have more neighbors move in, this will increase traffic and likely make the neighborhood more dangerous to our children, our bike riders and our walkers. Many use these streets that dead end at this property because these dead end streets result in less traffic. The original developers of Zelma Fields had originally considered the children of the neighborhood, as many of you have probably noticed, the neighborhood has trails that lead through the neighborhood, keeping the children off the streets. The trails lead to park like areas that are dilapidated and neglected. The children can no longer play there. I am asking for the support of you as Zelma Fields residents to make this property into a sanctuary for our children and us. With 12 acres there is plenty of room for park equipment, basketball goals, with the creek it'll be nice to take a walk with the dogs and enjoy the setting. Metro Councilman James Peden has stated that with enough signatures on our petition, this could be an actuality.
