Paquale De Luca started this petition to James Pasternak

We need a second entrance/exit into the Stanley Greene neighbourhood. This was once again brought to light by the large scale fire on December 5, which closed off access to people’s homes. This issue was brought to the attention of the previous City of Toronto councillor when a large flood closed the residents off from coming into or going out of the neighbourhood. The concerns of the residents of the Stanley Greene neighbourhood fell on deaf ears that time. We cannot allow that to happen again. The flood proved to be an inconvenience to many, now with the Stafford development (where the fire occurred) and the condo being built many more people will come into the neighbourhood.  Although not a common occurrence, situations like this could prove to be dangerous if someone has to get out for a medical or other type of emergency. There are many families with small children and elderly residents as well. This simply cannot happen anymore.

We are asking that City council and specifically councillor James Pasternak look into this issue. The opening/extension of Bayford Ave. at the south end of Stanley Greene Blvd. seems to be the only option for a second entry/exit point in the Stanley Greene neighbourhood. When the foot path was opened, the residents of Bayford Ave. and surrounding area were heard (during election time), and got their way. We once again ask that our safety not be ignored. Do not allow the handful of homes on Bayford to once again carry the day. Thanks to all that will read and/or sign this petition, with a little luck and help, maybe our voices will carry the day.
