Yarra Ranges Council are demolishing Wandin East Tennis Courts - they have already removed the tennis court fencing with out informing people who use the courts daily.

These courts are loved and used by locals who enjoy the fresh air, peace and exercise these courts offer. We look after the courts, nets and fences. The courts are ashfelt and low maintenance and people have enjoyed playing tennis there for years and want to continue playing tennis there for years to come.

Yarra Ranges Council stated that the “Court Condition” is “Suitable for use” however there “Recomendations” for Wandin East Tennis Courts is to “Seek alternative use for club rooms - possibly Wandin / Silvan Feild Day Committee                  Courts to be demolished”.

This is wrong Yarra Ranges Council show a blatant disregard for the people who live in the area and use the courts by demolishing perfectly useable tennis courts from a public park is an abhorrent waste of tax payers money and shows their lack of respect for the health and wellbeing of the people that use these tennis courts.

Show your support in keeping Wandin East Tennis Courts  open to the public by signing this petition to have Yarra Ranges Council put back up the Tennis Fences that they took down and leave the Tennis Courts as they are to be enjoyed and used by locals 365 days a year.
