- Loss of the only successful educational program (English Language Centre) in the inner southern suburbs.
- For 30 years, supported students from overseas in the communities between City and Frankston.
- Facility at the verge of closure by the end of 2020 with no provision for a local replacement.
- Immense concern that the students the program usually caters for will not be provided for and supported.
- Regional decision for students to travel to an alternative centre at Westall is not viable.
- It’s logical & is necessary to retain a secondary setting given that there is a primary ELC in the locality.
- Finding an alternative site in the southern suburbs to sustain the program and continue to serve the community rather than its closure.
- Appealing support from the wider community to retain the Centre/Program for its benefits and educational needs.
