Justice for Barley

October 27th, 2017 started like any other day. We dropped off Barley, our almost 5 year old Bichpoo at NeoPaws for a few hours so he could socialize with his friends. It's the last time we saw him.
We were not aware that Neopaws had been taking dogs off leash in non-designated areas for years. Cited over and over again and yet able to stay in business. That Friday, he was taken off his leash while being taken for a walk by a NeoPaws employee. Eyewitnesses have stated they saw him cross the Gardiner Expressway, and was struck by a car.
This horrible accident could have been prevented. Stricter laws and regulations must be adopted to prevent repeat offenders, such as NeoPaws, from circumventing such laws as well as the requests of Barleys parents that he never be taken off leash.
Our community has rallied behind us and Barley has been the face to this cause, we hope will never happen again to another animal or family. Please sign our petition.
