James Madison University has decided to go online for the semester and sending over 4,500 freshman and sophomores home. Recently there has been a spike in covid cases campus wide but there has not been a hospitalization or death. Sending infected student home could potentially put people that are high risk such as there parents at serious risk of death. Government officials say look at the science, and the science says our age group is safe. The parents of JMU students are roughly from the age of 45 and up. These are the high risk people we must shield from Covid-19. Let’s keep our community, family safe, and fight this together.
