This poor young girl should've been full of hope for a better, safer future. Instead, she & her family had to face yet more persecution & tragedy when they finally made it to 'safety'. People really do need to be held to account, otherwise there can be no closure for the family. Trust in the authorities needs to be earned from those who've fled other countries (often with corrupt officials). After all, we want these people to have confidence that their voices now matter & will be heard.

We need to be Shukri's voice now. We cannot let her be silenced.
