First Bus: Reinstate a bus stop at Henbury School on the 76 bus route
This petition had 626 supporters
We the undersigned request that First bus review their change to the 76 bus route and reinstate a bus stopping point at Henbury School. We are concerned about the health and safety of school pupils who, under the proposed new route, would need to walk in all weathers for half a mile across isolated waste ground to access the nearest bus stop. We are also concerned that the loss of the school bus stop would result in more families driving to drop their children to school, increasing congestion and air pollution. We consider all schools should be easily accessible by public transport, and the proposed changes will have a negative impact on pupils and local residents.
