The Taylor High School FFA has disbanded the milk judging team last year. After a loss in states the team of four young men and women was cut apart. The school does not have a teacher to teach milk judging which I believe can easily be solved. At Taylor our FFA has a bbq team. I think we could be in the same class as the bbq team and make the period more of a food period than a milk or bbq period. Milk judging could be called a waste of time and funding, but I think otherwise. It would do many good things for the students that take part in the event. I have had friends in different events that have told me about the bonds they form and fun they have in their respective events. In 2021 Dairy MAX rewarded three milk tasters with two thousand five hundred dollars each to a college of their choice two of which where from my great state of Texas. This program is much much more than tasting milk. It is making friends we'll have for life and hopefully win scholarships as well as milk tasting.
