I started this petition because I have a loved one down at the Allegheny County Jail and I get informed of the things that goes on in there.  They are still doing the 23 in 1.  If you do not know what that is it means that they are only receiving an hour out in a day.  In that hour they are expected to shower and video call loved ones. They are also not being taken care of properly as far as medical and mental health issues goes untreated.  Also they have to pay for the video visits text messaging and also to watch Pluto on their tablets which is free.  The food that they receive has been posted on social media platforms there has been videos as well. They are always on lockdown and do not know why.  They are postponing court dates for months at a time (3-6 months out).  I feel like if there are enough signatures on this petition maybe there will be a change in the issues that are at hand for our loved ones.  It seems as if the courts are not doing anything to decrease the number of inmates being housed at the Allegheny County Jail.  There are people being held for non violent crimes and have been in there for more than or almost a year.  Please sign the petition to try to help our loved ones in the Allegheny County Jail.
