John Sankale started this petition to Jalas and

For sometime now, the Kenyan entertainment scene has been left unprotected from foreign competition, no systems have been put in place to ensure the success of a Kenyan musician. We need a solution that guarantees a fare competitive ground for both local and foreign artiste.

If proper airplay is given to local artiste, it means more job opportunity for producers, Deejays, promoters, agencies and everyone else around the life of an artiste. I'm a living testimony that music can save one from the life of crime. Giving the kenyan artiste the same positive push we are giving foreign music will mean, more downloads, more streams, more views, and more shows. This will grow our show business and the industry at large.

Supporting Kenyan music is not a cry made for individual gain, it's a cry for our children's children. It's a cry made by those tired by few individuals who only care about themselves and not the industry at large. It's a cry for help, a cry to help us shape the future of our gifted children.

If the government can put in place Laws that will protect the Kenyan musician, then that's a start. Musicians representing us in goverment, we are expecting your 100% support.

Help us push this petition by sharing.
