Abandon Mandatory Spay/Neuter of Pit Bulls Ordinance in Pasadena
This petition made change with 93 supporters!
City Councilmember Steve Madison of Pasadena's District 6 has proposed an ordinance that would require all pit bull type dogs to be spayed/neutered within the City limits. In the past, Councilmember Madison has indicated his support of a breed ban on pit bull type dogs, which is prohibited by the State of California.
This is called Breed Discriminatory (or Breed-Specific) Legislation (BSL), and has been proven time after time to be ineffective, and a waste of public resources.
The ordinance unfairly targets pit bull type dogs instead of solving the real problems surrounding dog safety and responsible pet ownership. Please join SoCal Pitbull TEAM in advising Pasadena Councilmembers to abandon this antiquated way of thinking by signing the petition below.
