110 db is the "Average Human Pain Threshold"
The Youngstown Sheet & Tube Whistle was made for thousands of workers to hear shift change over the roar of industry. Today this historic artifact is being used to terrorize a neighborhood & community for the sake of marketing a business with only a handful of employees. Everyday at Noon & 4pm and also arbitrarily, whenever they feel. Sometimes continuously for long durations.
120db, and oftentimes louder, as this video demonstrates from across the street. This is extremely startling and dangerous for a passerby on the street and daily hell for the surrounding residents and businesses.
Please sign this petition to either have the
1) Whistle & Keg turn down the whistle to under 70db to see if that is livable for the area. Or if not possible, than to blow just once a week Saturdays at noon.
or if they are unwilling
2) to have the Mayor enforce standing noise ordinances, or Youngstown City Council legislate a new ordinance to protect our community from completely useless and dangerous noise pollution.
