There is a very dangerous intersection in Salisbury, Maryland where Beaglin Park Drive intersects Old Ocean City Road.  There has been numerous accidents in this intersection, which is located in a residential neighborhood.  A bike path is located along Beaglin Park Drive where many people walk and bike with their children and pets.  I have been able to observe this intersection more closely since I have been working at home more often this year due to COVID and now live directly in a house beside this intersection.  It is so alarming to watch motorists speed on both roads to get thorough the light as well as run red lights at times.  There are some people who use this road to speed down in the evenings like they were at Dover International Speedway.  I have to be extremely careful getting my mail since our mailbox has been taken out several times. One woman died right after the road was developed and there has been numerous injuries, as well as many cars totaled.  Let's be proactive instead of reactive with people's lives.  The sight of the Champlain Towers South in Florida was heartbreaking since it could have been prevented if officials would have worked to begin repairs when needed or evacuated when it was determined the condo had extensive damage.  I propose that radar is used on these road periodically so that motorists know there may be consequences for going 50 mph or higher on these residential roads.  I also would like to stop allowing cars to  right on red  since there are now 12 ways people can turn in this intersection.  Many times, the accidents I have witnessed are due to people turning right on red and left on green.  Please join me in making this area safe for everyone and preventing people from being injured or more lives lost!
