The residents and also the drivers that travel the Jackson Rd are more then fed up. When it comes down to the everyday living for the residents of this once quiet road, it is a constant struggle with council and main roads in keeping this now very busy road maintained.  

The council have been through to access the road multiple times but are simply just filling the holes as they have been told. Pretty much just a simply bandaid fix that rips off to quick, and seems to never last with the amount of traffic travelling the road, it opens all the holes even more. This only causes more problems and heartaches as it doesn't even last one/two weeks before crumbling.

With now even worse conditions on the road then before.  Its that bad that the integrity of the road has totally chipped away, well past the road based supplies that are needed to maintain a road in some sections. Really, whats left when there is only, SAND or soil..... 

Also the amount of damage that the road has caused to many vehicles no matter the size, whether it be a car low to the ground or up the size of a Semi Truck. And no matter the speed whether it be 40km or 100km you travel on the road, people are choosing to travel faster in hopes of just getting through the road asap but where others are so unsure of even the condition that they have to be even more cautious on the road... 

It becomes even more dangerous as there are also deep creek crossings that even after a small amount of rain they always tend to hold water and silt from the creeks running. On multiple occasions people have tried to cross the creeks whilst the water and silt are there and get majority caught. With each time the creeks run they always wash away major chunks of bitumen,  on some cases the washouts are more the half the height of your tyre. So dangerous indeed, and at times due to flooding nothing is able to be done about the road until it's either reported more then once or some one gets caught, or they can't get through it or worse. 

 No matter day or night, the constant number of vehicles travelling this road especially with the major culvits, deep washouts and massive cuts in the edge of the road are a massive hazard for any other oncoming vehicles due to the road being only one lane in alot of the sections.

To the fact that it has caused many a near miss or in some case more serious where people have ended up losing control of the vehicle which resolted in the car ending up hitting the trees on the side of the roads or worse.

What will take for the local council or main roads to stand up and make an effort??? Will it take a loss of life before things will change ???
