Jackson Cty, MS School Board has made a decision to consolidate Vancleave Upper and Vancleave Lower Elementary claiming it is in the best interest of children.  This will mean that 1100 students ages 3-11 will be taught on one campus.

Vancleave Upper Elementary has a brand new multi-million dollar building that will not be utilized by children if the consolidation takes place.  In addition to losing this brand new building, our Vancleave Elementary children will be losing a library, a newly remodeled cafeteria, 2 playgrounds, and personnel.  The consolidation could also mean a change in student schedules due to the restructuring of personnel.

Our children are losing all of this so that the district office can move into the brand new multi-million dollar building located on Vancleave Upper campus.  Please support our children and let the school board know that you don't support this consolidation.
