Stop development of an industrial complex at the Hog Mountain and Storey Lane intersection

Two large warehouses totaling 1.23 million square feet are being proposed on the corner parcel of Hog Mountain Road and Storey Lane. Currently there is a rezone being sought to change that parcel from Agricultural to General Industrial. If approved, industrial zoning will be introduced in the middle of currently zoned agricultural and residential lands. County future land use and character maps show areas south of the parcel as agricultural, residential and rural zones. Many oppose this rezone as it will decrease the neighboring area’s quality of life, property values and safety, remove rural atmosphere and increase traffic, noise, and potentially foster other negative impacts.
