Ramps for Watergardens! Access for All!

I am a working wife and mother of two. My family chose Sydenham as our home because of its accessibility to all the amenities that my young family needs. Accessibility is essential for me to function so I can go about my life independently.
I have cerebral palsy and use a mobility scooter. I am within walking distance to my daughter's school, the shopping centre and a metropolitan train station so it is the perfect location for us and many people who have mobility issues and young families.
Except for the lifts at the station. They are the gate way to all these amenities that allow me to be the mother and career woman I want to be. They are the gateway to my independence, but they are chronically failing!
I know there is an overhaul of the lifts scheduled at the end of the year, but they will still need maintenance and can breakdown. I have met with my local member Natalie Hutchins and we think installation of ramps is the only way that we can be sure that there is access for all at all times.
'Ramps for Watergardens' is the only fail safe measure to my independence. I and we as the Sydenham community have endured the Watergardens lifts for too long.
