Why this petition matters

Started by Lileeh Davis

Currently, in the Xinjiang region of China, Muslims are being forced into government concentration camps, in an attempt to "re-educate" them. In these concentration camps, Muslims are forced to eat pork, drink alcohol and denounce themselves as Muslims. There are roughly 1.5 million people being held in these camps.

In the world, at the moment, only two countries have been able to declare this as a Genocide, these two countries being America and Canada. New Zealand need to be next. With close to 60,000 Muslims living in our country according to the 2018 census, this needs to be something that is seen as important to New Zealand.

The least that we can do as a country is declare this as a genocide.

Please sign this petition to show the New Zealand Government that this is important and should be declared.
