I have been aware of the dangers of cadmium in fertiliser for some years, and have lived across the road from a farm fertiliser shed where large amounts of dust were frequently generated.

Safe industrial and farming practices should not be monitored by the industries that are using unsafe practices causing harm to all life. It is not only a conflict of interest, but highly unethical. Yes productivity is important to these industries but not at the expense of human life, animals and the once beautiful environment of Aotearoa NZ. What is important to you Jacinda?

Once again those in charge have too much conscious or unconscious bias. There is no form of dust or air pollution that can be considered healthy. NZ needs to become aware and take responsibility. There is no “short cut” to making our soils healthy. Profit and “turning a blind eye” to consequences should not enable these practices to continue as they have been
