New Zealand is slowly being strangled to death by a government who refuses to give the population certainty about when lockdowns and other restrictions on our freedoms of movement and association will come to an end. In particular, the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) sector of our economy cannot survive without a plan from government as to when they can expect to reopen. Tens of thousands of SME owners are physically, mentally and financially stressed by this governments inaction. Where is the kindness?

As of this morning (8th Oct), 80.4% of the population have had at least one jab, 51.3% of the population are double vaccinated*. There are a 19.6% of the population who, for whatever reason, have chosen not to be jabbed. We cannot allow the government to continue to hold the country to ransom in this way.

This petition calls on the government to open the country on December 1st 2021 to the vaccinated, allow the "Team of 3.38m" (those who are eligible & have been vaccinated) to have our freedoms back to rebuild our businesses and economy. Those members of our population who refuse to vax can stay in isolation and take their chances with the virus and the health system. 

The 1st of December allows everyone who wants to be vaccinated can be double jabbed in time. Allow NZers to rebuild our lives and businesses and reclaim our freedoms. Come on NZ government, show some courage, make a decision and let us get on with it!!
