I am a homeschool mom with 4 boys, who is also going through problems with social workers entering my home and requiring me to defend my homeschooling.

I'm signing as I'm planning to come and live in Ireland for a while and I currently unschool my daughter and may wish to do so when we're over in Ireland. I believe this decision should be made by the family not the child and family agency under the education welfare act 2000.

Sounds to me like the authorities have caused the damage not the mother.

Because educational needs are diverse, children are individuals and there is a growing body of evidence showing that conventional education is not the most efficient way to learn, Its the most efficient way to provide mass childcare.

My wife and I are due to have our first child, We are keen to home educate just as we were. The family structure is the oldest known to man and is a fundamental right. Any government that ignores this right or abuses it is a tyranny.

Children are born to their parents, not to a State or its system. If parents do not believe state schooling meets the needs of their children, it is their parental responsibility to find a better solution & such dedicated parents should be praised, not treated so disgracefully by their Country.
