National Clemency Project started this petition to Governor JB Pritzker

My name is Faustino & I’ve been incarcerated for over 5 years & counting. It has been a long road & god willing with the help of people who sign this petition, I can be granted a commutation/reduction in my sentence & return back home to my family. Throughout the time I’ve been incarcerated I’ve had a lot of time to reflect back on my past mistakes & grow into a better person so that I can have the ability to make rational decisions. This will prevent me from doing something that’s against the law and would lead me back to prison. I have attended college through Danville Area Community College & also Bible through Divine Hope & Reformed Seminary Bible College. Through College I have obtained a better understanding of Gods word & how to conduct myself in a righteous way. I regret making the wrong decision I made that led to my arrest on June 5th, 2016. I’m ashamed of knowing I let my family down greatly. As for the victims involved in this case I had the opportunity to talk to them and apologize for my behavior. My heart goes out to them & their family for putting them through this situation. Thanks to the Building Block Program offered at my facility, I’ve gained many skills through my effective communication, anger management, life skills & emotional intelligent classes. If I get an early release I plan on enrolling in College. I also plan on obtaining a job at the Juvenile detention center in Chicago. I will be a great mentor for youth that struggle with finding their purpose in life. I was lost one once too but through god I found myself. Thank you for taking the time to read this petition. May god bless you & your loved ones.- Sincerely Faustino.
