The following parents of students that will be attending Incarnate Word School hereby request that the school adopt a policy for the upcoming school year (2021/2022) that allows each of the parents the freedom to make an individual choice regarding whether their student will wear a mask while at school.

We understand that there is conflicting information about the risks to children if masks are not worn, and even if there is in fact a risk, the undersigned parents believe that the risk of negatively affecting the students socially, academically, and psychologically significantly outweighs any risk of not wearing masks at school.

The undersigned parents ask that you please take action that provides the parents of the students at Incarnate Word School the individual freedom to make their own choices for their own children and to make the wearing of masks at school optional for the students and teachers for the upcoming school year.
