WHY, ITV!!??

A show with a diverse cast and unimaginable ingenuity... patronised and consigned to an ignored time slot? 

Cue the titles...

'Thunderbirds' was created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson in the 1960s, and was broadcast then and in the '90s to great success. The puppet-ey mannerisms and 'toy comes to life' feel of the show re-enforced its status as a cultural milestone and national treasure.

Now the boys are back in town, with physical sets, dynamic CGI and a diverse cast. The legacy of The Andersons is strong 50 years on...

The first episode of this reincarnation was broadcast on 04/04/2015 to great ratings and a positive critical reaction. Viewers eagerly anticipated the next episode... but something was wrong...

The programme was immediately loved by most, if not all--- except its own network. The show is now going to be broadcast at EIGHT IN THE MORNING. A progressive show that ignores gender and racial stereotypes whilst displaying unique and incredible effects... is now a 'Saturday morning cartoon'.

All that we ask is that ITV broadcast the show in a regular teatime schedule. We believe that this will affect the programme positively, attracting older viewers through nostalgia and accessibility, and giving a progressive programme a sense of maturity for all demographics.
Is that too much to ask?

Thunderbirds are GO? It's up to you, ITV.
