I want to make a stand to create a future for affordable housing and help eliminate homelessness due to the housing affordability crisis.

It's a giant loophole which should be fixed a long time ago. This absurd thing only exists in Australia. I guess many politicians themselves have a lot of properties to do negative gearing, so they are very reluctant to make any changes on this.

Having shelter is a basic human right which shoul not be manipulated so multi home owners receive tax breaks. I have a mortgage and yet would prefer to buy an investment property without negative gearing is this helps stabilise the housing market.

Time to change our "snouts in troughs" system of KLEPTOCRACY => down with sycophantic polititians & their greedy top 2% Masters who past 8 years didn't pay their fare share of tax (sent $$$ for holidays to exotic locations such as Panama) worth over $AU 1 trillion according to economist report on AU radio!!!

As a young person who aspires start a family one day, I see it becoming increasingly likely that I will be renting for the rest of my life. There needs to be reform so people who buy a home to live in are prioritised over housing speculators.

its grossly unfair - locked out an entire generation out of housing and has not served its original purpose of increasing housing supply

I am sick and tired of selfish bastards only thinking of themselves people who let properties always try and make out that they are the ones bearing the cost because renters are always ripping them off we'll get real it's a win win whichever way you add it up only in stupid Australia could you get away with this
