A few years back, Indiana State University had an online training module that needed to be completed by all students in their first semester or they would not be allowed to register for classes. They got rid of this training in 2019 and now freshman have had no education around Sexual violence and rape culture. This training was called Its On Blue. We would like to start Its on Blue back up again and make it be mandatory for incoming freshman! Whether that be in the online training modules or a mandatory event during orientation. Something is needed to educate our students on these issues. The first 2 months of fall semester have the highest reports for title IX reports and hopefully, Its On Blue training will mitigate this.
