Jasmine Bryant started this petition to ISU Office of Public Safety

Due to personal experiences, I understand what it is like to feel unsafe. During this recent semester, I was almost assaulted on campus and the office of public safety at Indiana State University did nothing to solve this issue. The only resources on campus to make students feel "safe" are lights poles that students are supposed to press if they feel unsafe.

Since Indiana State University is an open campus, I believe that there needs to be more safety precautions. The goal of this petition is to convince Indiana State University to make campus more safe for all that come to the school. With having more active security on campus can prevent more incidents from happening. The hopes for this petition would include convincing the office of public safety to have security officers patrol campus at night, create security desks in certain buildings, and conduct better reporting for incidents that happen on campus.  If we get enough signatures on this platform, I'm sure this will make a better change for future generations of students on campus.
