Isolation pay for carers
Isolation pay for carers
At the start of the Covid epidemic many people were furloughed from work on full pay, meanwhile carers were been applauded for their continued work throughout. Now that isolation restrictions have been lifted, carers are still forced to isolate from work, many of these carers are now not getting paid for this forced isolation leaving them worrying about the cost of living. Many carers are on minimum wage and seeing price increases on essentials and now have the added worry of having to take time off work unpaid. We would like to see the government commit to offering the same help financially to carers in this position as they did to everyone that was furloughed at the start of the pandemic. Carers are now been faced with a choice of staying in a job that they love or looking for work that covers the cost of living.
