Today’s article on the front page of the Isle of Man courier has sickened me to the core and I feel a changes need to be made to the Isle of Mans justice system!

Charles Joseph Cover walked free from court after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 11 year old girl from May 2015 to July 2016. He has taken this young girls innocence and deprived her of a normal childhood. I cannot begin to imagine how I would feel if a man I thought I could trust had done this to my child, to then watch him walk free where there is a high risk of my child seeing him on the street or worse him doing it to another child! 
something needs to change!

i feel that changes need to be made to the isle of mans justice system, changes that will prevent peadophiles, sexual predators, and anything of the sort to be automatically given a prison sentence. People who commit these crimes NEED to serve time and be punished for what they have done!
Other people who may be in a position where they have been assaulted should have confidence knowing they can report predators and not go through a harrowing experience to watch that person walk away!
