Recently, in Island school, there have been many new rules that have been implemented due to Covid 19/Omicron's spreading in HK. One of these rules includes the removal of ball games. I perfectly understand since the way to stop this pandemic is to keep a safe distance from each other. However, I and many others believe that this should only apply to non contact sports. In our school facility, we have access to table tennis/ping pong equipment but are not permitted to use them. A lot of kids in my school find the sport fun and interesting, and do not see why we are not authorized to have the enjoyment of playing table tennis. It is not a contact sport, there is no touching the other player, and is a fun sport to take part in!
