On march 4th 2010, Ahjah Diana Monique Dixon died in a Corsicana TX jail as Navarro police and nursing staff stood by and watched, they even went as far as to take her pulse, after witnessing her enter into two simultaneous seizures while coughing up and vomiting blood, instead of calling the ambulance at the first sign of fatal trauma. Wasting precious moments of this students fading life, the nurse on duty can even be quoted as stating she thought that "Inmate Dixon the black girl was faking", There were numerous bruises found on Ahjah's body shown in the autopsy report. less than 24 hours earlier Ahjah was diagnosed as suicidal and still released from the local hospital only to have police raid her room to find drugs. The police and the local hospital were aware that Ahjah the student victim was on medication for severe depression as well as paranoia due to her time spent in the Navy as well as her recent mourning with regards to her eldest brothers death. With these factors Ahjah should have been treated as a suicidal patient and held by the hospital until she was no longer a threat to herself and others or until the closest family member arrived. Instead Ahjah was released and immediately brought to jail for drug possession after a search of her campus dorm. One might conclude the hospital and police dept aligned themselves in the total dismissal of this students medical history and opted to treat this suicidal student victim as a criminal instead of patient. Never having gone to jail before Ahjah who suffered from paranoia and severe depression immediately went into pan nick. About an our later Ahjah pressed an emergency button calling for help asking for fresh air and stating that she thought she was having a seizure. Finally nurses and officers arrive. As Ahjah is asking for fresh air the nurse assumes she is hyperventilating and proceeds to try and place a paper bag over her mouth making it harder to obtain the fresh air she is asking for. Finally Ahjah is then taken to an area called the yard where she can try and get fresh air, there are no cameras in this area, the family and friends of ahjah suspect that Ahjah may have been beaten by officers in this non-filmed area or at least handled extremely roughly by officers who assumed she was trying to escape when she was in actuality dying and trying desperately to get oxygen into her lounges, this belief is due to the amount of bruising later found on her deceased corpse. Ahjah then collapses as three officers hold her, this was a good time if any for the abumlance to have been alerted, Ahjah is then documented as having gone into the first seizure, the nurse thinks, "the black girl inmate dixon is faking", as she loosely stated. As Ms. Ahjah Dixon proceeded to go into a second seizure and vomit blood, the nurse still refuses to call EMS services and instead opts to take this student victims pulse as cops stand guard! Once Ahjah is down to her last heart beat and final breaths the dept. nurse decides its a good idea to call EMS. Needless to say Ahjah Diana Monique Dixon an active chess player an thespian whom willingly signed up to server her country as a naval officer whom also studied at Duke Ellington School of performing arts was pronounced dead on her way to the hospital! Ahjah's family was notified much later, in fact they were told she was in the hospital, and later told over the phone that she actually died a while ago, this was announced to them in an inappropriate nonchalant humorous fashion. There are documentations of Ahjah being described by police in a discriminatory, racially motivated, and dehumanizing fashion by the officers and staff that witnessed and took part in her death. Please help us shed light on all the facts leading to Ahjah's ultimate demise. Her last moments were sad and gory however her life was cut short by a system that too often neglects the potential of life that can be garnered by our youth if we give them a fair chance. In her last moments Ahjah found herself in a troubling mental state and needed medical psychiatric attention as appose the the reciprocal corresponding abuse and neglect she received which in turn helped promote her demise. If your daughter was suicidal would you not want her to be held at a hospital until you arrived. should she be criminalized based on her choice of suicidal inducement be it, blade, or knife, bullet, bottle of pills, or cocaine. Ahjah was filmed ingesting a lethal dosage of cocaine in the holding cell, this triggered her fatal reaction, the police dept was put on alert by the hospital and family of this student victim of her suicidal state of mind and medical status, instead of protecting this victim from endangering herself by keeping a close watch they allowed her to take this fatal dosage and then refused to call EMS so that she could get proper care that might have saved her life. The people that assisted in Ahjah's demise are still out there in fact they are protected by Governmental Immunity laws enabling them to take the same actions against your son or daughter! Immunity equals a War on you and me!!!!!!!
